The Boards -- CASTING -- Sunday
Given the... diversity... of the auditions he had received on Wednesday, Genesis was in a fine mood as he picked idly through his scripts today. He smirked a bit, wondering at what reactions they would get upon seeing his chosen script for the play. Everything, of course, was already set up.
The people of Fandom were certainly enthusiastic, even if the majority of them had little skill to speak of. But some of them, some of them had potential.
And some of them just greatly amused him.
Which was its own value, push come to shove.

Casting
Re: Casting
That part of the sign had stood out to him. Casting for a play...less so.
Re: Casting
... And resisted the urge to sigh. What was he wearing?
"For those who wish to tryout for the play, yes," Genesis said smoothly. "Would you be interested in that?"

Lurline help her if anyone noticed her lurking, though...
Re: Casting
He could use another actress, after all...
"Good afternoon," he said lightly. "A fan of the theatre, are you?"
Re: Casting
She may have been lurking, but that didn't mean she wouldn't speak her mind.

Now that she wasn't distracted by mean-spirited root vegetables, she was only too happy to traipse down to the theater -- garbed in one of the brilliant red dresses her father had sent her from Paris, which all of Carlisle looked upon in scandalized horror, and a wreath of flowers crowning her hair -- and present herself with a flourish.
"Is this where we sign up to audition for the play, I'd like very much to try out, if you please," she announced in her most charming tone.
Re: Casting
The difference, in this girl's case, was that Genesis was bemused by her obvious dressing up for the situation. At least, so he assumed that she did not always dress as such.
"Then, of course, you will get to try out," Genesis said, offering the girl a smile as he approached. He was a tall man, with auburn hair wearing a long red leather jacket over a great deal of black. "I am Genesis Rhapsodos, the director."
Re: Casting
"Genesis Rhapsodos," Sara echoed as if trying out the sound of the name; it must have sounded fine in her estimation, since she beamed. "Sara Stanley, and I'm pleased to meet you, sir. I've several things memorized, unless you'd prefer I read something else entirely; I don't mean to sound terribly green, only I've never actually had a chance to audition for something before."

And so Rinoa swept into try-outs, trying not to seem nervous. But she was more excited than anything else, so there.
"Am I too late?" she asked.
Re: Casting
It helped that he lived above the theatre. Made things easy if they ran late.
"I am Genesis Rhapsodos," he continued, getting up with a faint bit of a smile. "The owner and director."
Re: Casting
And Sorceress, but that one didn't get such a great reaction out of people. (At least, not back home.)
"I don't have anything prepared," she admitted. "Were we supposed to?"

Talk to Genesis
Re: Talk to Genesis
Hell, Reno wasn't even here to offer his skills in any aspect of the theater here, really. But there was a name that he'd heard on the radio, and it had damn near made him choke on his drink at the time when he'd realized that the name 'Genesis' was being mentioned in conjunction with the playhouse, and maybe there wasn't just some kind of freaky similarity going on, there.
And so he'd grabbed an apple from the food table, and was now idly tossing it back and forth from hand to hand, keeping an eye open to see if he could spot the director. So far as he could figure, if it was the same guy, he wouldn't be easy to miss.
Re: Talk to Genesis
He didn't know enough about it to know why she was so dismissive of it but it was his property and so he'd been looking up a few things and trying to guess how it might have failed to be adequate in her eyes.
Nonetheless, a break couldn't last for long and soon enough he came back down, looking exactly how he was supposed to look and most likely not at all what his new--visitor--cared for.
"Turk." Both a greeting and a question and dismissal all in one work. Genesis was good at that.
