Given the... diversity... of the auditions he had received on Wednesday, Genesis was in a fine mood as he picked idly through his scripts today. He smirked a bit, wondering at what reactions they would get upon seeing his chosen script for the play. Everything, of course, was already set up.

The people of Fandom were certainly enthusiastic, even if the majority of them had little skill to speak of. But some of them, some of them had potential.

And some of them just greatly amused him.

Which was its own value, push come to shove.

Robin nodded, cleared his throat, and began.

"It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing. And there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it, right? And this bag was just... dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. That's the day I realized that there was this entire life behind things, and this incredibly benevolent force that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid ever. Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember...I need to remember. Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it...and my heart is going to cave in."

"You need to emote more," Genesis informed him, giving him a glance. "The words are meant to evoke a certain emotional response from the audience, but a flat reading will do nothing."

Robin thought he had been emoting, but it had been a long time since he'd really taken any acting classes. And it was possible he was better at emoting when singing anyway.

"Thank you." he said, taking the critique into consideration.

Genesis waited a moment, staring down at the frog before saying, somewhat impatiently: "Well, what are you waiting for? Do it again."

[Hey! For auditions I really need more description than a block of quoted text, because if your character is emoting I have no way of knowing unless it is written in the ping. Is he happy, is he sad? How does his voice sound, what is he doing with his hands? All of that ties into how my character can react to yours so please try and give me a little bit more to work with, okay?]

Robin shrank into himself a bit at the tone, but rallied.

He went through the monologue again, this time digging deeper. While he would, always, sound just a bit like a little kid, he also seemed genuinely wistful, and happy, like he was remembering a wonderful time, long long ago. Most of his body didn't move much, but his head tilted, and he looked up, as if watching the bag float up into the sky.

"Better," he said, once that was over. "The results will be posted on Tuesday."
