Parents Weekend Mixer - Fandom Community Center, Saturday Evening

As the sun started to go down, the party was only just getting started. The Fandom Community Center was set up and well-lit to receive this weekend's guests. The bar was open and there were nibblies and appetizers on offer all evening. Music was playing most of the night, but not loud enough to hamper conversation. Welcome to the Parents Weekend Mixer, for anyone who wanted to stop in and share in some good company and good cheer!

Mrs. Hudson felt that the boys needed some alone time, perhaps to make up from their little tuft, and she knew that her ordering them champagne and strawberries through room service was sure the exacerbate things. This just meant she had to find something to keep her own self occupied, give them some privacy for the evening, and she'd spent a wonderful time shopping about the quaint little village. And now she found herself at the mixer, rather impressed and pleased to see that there was an open bar.

Far be it from Mrs. Hudson to enjoy a wee bit of a nip every now and then.

And a lovely woman of a certain age being there as well was all Alfred needed to make his move. "Hello."

Oh, well, then. It looked like the boys weren't the only ones who were going to have an entertaining evening.

"Well, hello, there, dear," Mrs. Hudson said. "It's a lovely little party they've put together, now, isn't it?"

And she was British! Oh, this was the best visit to this insanity ever.

"Yes, yes. Quite lovely," Alfred agreed, leaning against the bar oh so smoothly. "Alfred Pennyworth."

"Mrs. Hudson," she offered back. "Oh, but don't worry about the Mrs. Mr. Husdon was executed on account of being convicted of murder."

"I'm terribly sorry about that," Alfred replied slowly. Because how else do you respond? HOW ELSE?

"Oh, quite alright, dear," said Mrs. Hudson. "So, tell me, what brings an upstanding gentleman like yourself here this weekend?"

"My ward is a student here," Alfred explained, taking a healthy sip of his wine. Ah, open bars. "Yourself, Mrs. Hudson?"

...yeah, that was his seductive tone. His dry, British seductive tone.

It was just so British. Be still her heart.

"Just checking in on my former tenants, seeing how they're settling in. Lovely boys; in a bit of denial, but you know how it is."
