Parents Weekend Mixer - Fandom Community Center, Saturday Evening

As the sun started to go down, the party was only just getting started. The Fandom Community Center was set up and well-lit to receive this weekend's guests. The bar was open and there were nibblies and appetizers on offer all evening. Music was playing most of the night, but not loud enough to hamper conversation. Welcome to the Parents Weekend Mixer, for anyone who wanted to stop in and share in some good company and good cheer!

...yeah, no, Valanice. Just...no.

Still, Alexander figured it could have been worse. He could have been dragged to this all by his lonesome with the obligation to keep Valanice company and hear her go on and on and on about his education. But, thankfully, Rosella was here and Rosella was absolutely seething, so he couldn't help be amused.

Seething didn't even start to cover it. It had been clear to Rosella that all the interesting people hung out at the bar, and Alexander was being positively horrible in helping her try to find a way to escape this nightmare.

It was, after all, only a matter of time before Valanice decided to start playing matchmaker...
