The Perk, Saturday Afternoon
After Quinn spoke with Santana at the picnic, it didn't take her long to realize she and Puck needed to meet up and do damage control. She'd been so focused on her mother and Finn that it hadn't even occurred to her that Puck might invite people, too. And she didn't need Santana Lopez thinking she had randomly gone crazy in two separate universes.
She and Puck needed a cover story, and it would help if it was the same one. She texted him to ask him to meet her for coffee -- and to leave the guests behind.
For now, she'd sit at a table by the window, staring into the street and contemplating whether running away was any kind of an option.
[OOC: Open coffee shop, yes!]

Because guess what, Puck? You're a jerk, too.

... Finn excepted.
"Hi. What did she say to Ariel?" Not that she even liked Ariel, but whatever.

So after a while, he'd just taken up poking his head into shops hoping he'd find her, or that the school would magically appear. He'd almost given up hope when-- "Quinn, hey!" --he got there.
He shut the door behind him, and immediately came to a stop. "...And Puck. Dude, I didn't know you were coming." He was a little confused, actually.

She gave Puck a sidelong look. "It's a long story," she finished, hoping Puck would do better explaining than she would. Or at least at delaying.

She tried to catch Scully's eye and smile, but no more than that. It wouldn't be polite to intrude if they were having a family moment.

"Mom, this is my friend Karla," she said, then to Karla, "My mom, Margaret Scully."
Mulder was getting more espresso. Not that he needed it. He'd be back all too quickly....

totally forgot to posttook off today," Roy said. "But mostly it's okay. A little boring, maybe, but some of it's kind of interesting. It's a whole other side of the law, you know?"(no subject)

Forgive Karla, but there was going to be some momentary boggling there. It wasn't until she noticed Roy standing nearby and remembered the (very abridged) explanation of his relationship with the older Dinah from his world that Karla realized this was a different Dinah and not some bizarre Fandom-aging thing.
And that she didn't have to threaten Dinah for being on the island and not calling her.

There had been the version of herself that Dinah had changed into during that crazy weekend and then the other version they'd fought with the JLA...You know, maybe it was just easier to stick to what she knew as fact, unless and until this-Dinah remembered her suddenly.
"Actually, it's more that I know you," she explained. "I'm friends with the Dinah that used to go here. Best friends, actually. I'm kind of like her adopted little sister."
