The Beach, Sunday Night

Price and Soap stood at the edge of the water, prepping a small boat for travel. They had a rendezvous with a submarine that Nikolai had commandeered later that night. The dark waters were precisely what they needed.

"There," Soap said, the last of the prep work done. "Ready to shove off, captain?"

Price looked back in at the island. "Just one more minute," he said. He'd called a few people before he'd headed to the beach. Last chance to say goodbye, really. He hoped they'd come.

Dani was looking warily at the small boat. She was just glad that she wasn't going along for this trip.

"Are you sure you've got everything?" she asked. "Because starting tomorrow morning, I'm repainting your old room and tossing anything that doesn't belong there."

Soap laughed, and Price just had to smirk. "We'll do the best we can," Price said. "But safety isn't exactly our number one concern."

Millie made her way down to the beach to say goodbye. "Thank you for letting me know you were leaving." She handed him a package with a few books she thought he'd enjoy. "I'll miss seeing you at the store and around the isalnd."

"And I'll miss those little visits, myself," Price said, snapping off a salute. He looked at the package, but gave her a sad smile. "I won't be able to take that, where I'm going."
