"What's with all the herbs, guys?"

The kitchen staff, who paid as little heed as possible to the planters, had no constructive answer (unless you counted incoherent mumbling) to Lacey's question.

"Well, okay then. Why not? Ooooh, is that -- well, it's about thyme."

If Lacey made it through the rest of the day without getting pelted with carrot tops and bread heels for bad punning, it would be a miracle. That was what she got for laboring under the delusion that she was hilarious.

"Oh, come on, Angua," Lacey replied, leaning against the cash register. "You've known me aloe this time and you couldn't even take a decent guess?"
