This was Firekeeper's third Halloween, and she still didn't quite get it. To be fair, she still didn't understand the reason behind most of Hawk Haven's monthly festivals either. But at least most of the time when there was a celebration she didn't understand, there was some sort of dance or at least to go with it. Halloween had no dance, and therefore was kind of disappointing.

Also, there were small orange gourds with faces painted on them that she kept finding in random places as she went about her usual chores. It was all very strange.
