The Boards, Wednesday
“Today,” he said, once as many actors had shown up as were going to—he made note of those who weren’t there—and kept his gaze cool as he studied the rest of them. Karla was missing again? Tsk tsk. And she’d been doing so well, coming in the last two days.
“We’ll be doing a full run through of the play. This is to get everyone comfortable with the entire thing. A single scene to act out is not overly strenuous in most cases but an entire play from beginning to end can be a drain even for experienced professionals.”
Which they were most definitely not.
“Furthermore,” Genesis continued, “it’s come to my attention that several holidays for this world are coming up in the next month and a half. Pursuant to that, as most of you are students and, I assume, are interested more in celebrating than—“ Well, the play. Children. Sigh.
Genesis let that sentence trail off and picked up a new one. “There will be two performances,” which he was not giving them the option to decide, because he was like that. “My question for you is in regards to the scheduling. When are good days for you?”
[Wait for the OCD is up up up!]

Discussion: Dates
both IC and OOC.[Genesis/I decided on two performances for the play as that’s what’s seemed to have worked best in the past—three didn’t get many hits and it’s never been just one. This IS up for negotiation, if anyone wants to have it differently, despite what Genesis says/thinks.
As for the dates—I admit, I was vaguely working with the week the BDE is on prior to it being announced. As the BDE is taking place, I’ve scrapped that week (because hi, that’d be stupid to have it the same week, yeah) and as far as I can tell, the choices are either rush the play (they still need to do dress-rehearsal) and have it happening during the week of Nov. 28 through Dec. 4, or have the play during the week of Dec. 12 through Dec. 18.
If you character wouldn’t say anything/doesn’t care on an IC level, I would still really really like your OOC opinion on this, so please chime in.]
Re: Discussion: Dates
He was going to do his damnedest to not worry about her. Again.
[I actually prefer the first set of dates you have, if only because the second week is the same as finals at school, I believe.]
Re: Discussion: Dates
[Any days that'd be better for you in the first week, bb? I need that too zomg to keep track of. XD; *should have mentioned it, failed to*]
Re: Discussion: Dates
Re: Discussion: Dates
[ooc: uh, ditto for me, though Nov. dates do seem rather rushed -- but, hey, more drama for opening night, eh?]
Re: Discussion: Dates
[OOC: OOCly, I can do whatever.]
Re: Discussion: Dates
"Speaking of dates ..." she murmured.

Rehearsal -- Full Run-Through
If a character isn't here today, Genesis will take over their part.
Yes, yes that means he'll play a Queen if you want him to.
Make him, please.Re: Rehearsal -- Full Run-Through
(OPEN FOR ANY SCENE SHE IS IN!)
Crew
Re: Crew
. . . Okay, so mostly she was pushing buttons to see what happened. But if anyone asked, she was totally testing levels and working out the cues.

His two robot babies, on the other hand, made themselves busy by crying a lot.
Talk to Genesis

... I'm apparently wordy this morning, ahhh.

I'll sob if they're the week of the BDE.

Re: OOC
Re: OOC
That said, I can make it work either week, with the caveat that I will be out the night of December 4 itself, and have no particular preference either way so I'm good with whatever consensus we reach! If you need some kind of tiebreaking vote in the end
I will whimper a lotI suppose I can look again and make a choice. :)Although it miiiiiiiiiiiiight be a wee bit easier on me if we went with the earlier set of dates, I think; I may well get slammed with post month-end stuff at work the week of the 12th.

Re: OOC
Re: OOC
Anyway, I'm thinking that the 28-4th would be better, just because trying to put on a performance a week after a BDE is--from an IC standpoint--going to be a little weird, you know? But having it Thurs-Fri Dec. 2 & 3rd will give us one more Wednesday to have the dress rehearsal on. And maybe move next week's rehearsal from Wed. to Tues or something?
