Shunsui was finally back in Fandom, back in his store, and back in his gigai, after an extended holiday in Seireitei that he could only consider quite successful, despite the fact that the furthest he got with anyone was when he, drunken even beyond his usual state, accidentally tried to hit on Kuchiki, thinking he was a woman. It was a very common mistake! It was disappointing that the mistletoe he thought he'd cleverly attached to the brim of his hat only got him kissed with fists and glares, but the highlight of the massive party was the look on Nanoa-chan's face when he informed her that, no, he was not sticking around. In fact, he couldn't stick around. He'd made a commitment...to teach.
It was like he'd grown a second head, and then he got to listen to her rant at him about responsibility and priorities and were they crazy? and probably about fifty other things, but he was too drunk to remember and mostly just looked back on the scene fondly with appreciation to the never-ending stream of the dulcet tones of her calling him a big, lazy ass.
Ahhh, good times. And now, sake bottle in hand, he got to listen to the not-quite-as-dulcet-but-alcohol-made-it-better tones of Apu-san ranting about what the panda had done to the place while Shunsui was away. He shouldn't find it so amusing, but alas! He was still in a drunken party stupor from the week/
