Wallace was on his laptop during his Caritas shift today, trying to figure out how to get some dry ice for the bar. Dry ice was awesome. Could you drink it? Would you die if you did?

There was boredom ~~and an open post~~ so that meant Jaina was getting out tonight. And as she took a seat at the bar, she had to ask, "Trying to escape dealing with Tino by retreating to the Internet?"

It was that or outright ask what he was looking at and she didn't want to do that with someone she'd seen pantsless in public.

"Hm? Oh honey, I have no need to escape Tino. I'm from Canada, I've seen hairier men than him," Wallace said. "Just doing some shopping for the bar."

Jaina headtilted at the first thing, immediately struck with mental images she didn't want. "What kind of shopping?"

Wallace narrowed his eyes, sure that Jaina would go back to Chuck about frivolous spending of his money. "None-of-your-damn-business shopping, that's what kind."

Take that!

Jaina raised her eyebrows, then decided that amused her more than anything. "You do remember I work here, right? So there's a good chance I'm going to see whatever you're talking about anyway."

"I'll order Tino to keep it hidden on the days you work," Wallace said with a smug look.

"I could always ask one of the other bartenders," she pointed out. Or, you know, she could mindwhammy Tino.

"Well you go ahead and do that," Wallace said, sticking his tongue out at her. He was so mature. "I have decided I wouldn't tell you and I can't just go changing my mind."

He was just being a bitch, now.

"Fine then. Can I get a Coke while you're sticking your tongue out at me?" she asked.

Wallace sighed dramatically. "I suppose. Want anything special in it? Cherry? Tiny sword? Glitter?"

"...Glitter?" she asked. Then she added quickly, "I'll take just a regular Coke. Has anyone actually asked for glitter?"

"No, not really," Wallace said, sliding over a plain coke. "We don't even have glitter on hand. I was just making shit up."

"And that's what you came up with?" she said, taking the drink.

Wallace shrugged. "I'm too lazy to think of anything better."

Since when is it Thursday?
