The Beach, Late Saturday Morning
The waves lapped at the shoreline.
It was a chilly sort of beautiful, Genesis decided, gazing out over the ocean. The sand and snow under his feet crunched with each step. And yet the ocean was unfrozen. He doubted it ever did freeze entirely.
Was there a cold strong enough to do that?
The wind moved briskly, stirring his hair and setting his coat aflutter and Genesis stood, arms crossed and looking over the ocean. He wondered if the ocean had ever felt heartbreak. That would be enough to turn it to ice entirely.
He shook his head, amused at his folly. Well and good enough, he was being foolish. There was time for that, however, as he waited.
[He’s expecting one, but totes open!]

She snapped a picture with her phone before moving on, sighing at what would be the MOST PERFECT SCENE EVER if only there had been a sunrise in the background right then.
[OOC: Had to. HAD TO!]

It should have been a lonely scene, but he found himself quite content. There was something thought-provoking about so much water. The brisk breeze only added a hint of motion that kept him from looking less like a man, and more like a statue.
Still waiting.

Unlike her munCassidy was right on time as requested. She had been extremely excited about this and now that she was here, she was probably still a little bouncy.[[OOC: So sorry. Having migraine issues today.]]

"You're on time," he said, mildly approving. "Good."
[*hugs* No worries! SP is awesome!]

She was here now and that meant she should probably try to calm down the bounciness.

"Punctuality is not always a gift people have," he replied lightly. "Have you thought about elemental magic since we spoke of it?"

She had decided to start slow and on the base end of her current powers just in case anything should go wrong.

"And that, you said, was pure energy? What were you thinking while you called it up?"

That sounded most inconvenient.

"I trust, as this is practice only, you'll keep me informed of the slightest difficulty?"
Despite what he proclaimed, he was not at all interested in breaking his students.
Mocking them, surely, was different than that.

"We'll discuss this more thoroughly later," Genesis informed her. "Your strengths and weaknesses will do me no good if I do not know them."
As for the moment...
Genesis held out one hand, flame sparking in his gloved palm but not burning, as a ball of it formed. Then, with casual ease, he flung it out to sea like a miniature comet. "Fire," Genesis said, "the great destroyer and purifier. What do you think, when you think of fire?"

If so, this would be simpler.

It wouldn't do to get burned, after all.

"Can you combine that with a blast of your Craft?"
no subject
She focused -- and probably thought too hard about how to combine the two.
Therefore, when the ball of fire flew out from her hand it didn't go very far. "Damn."

She used a blast of Yellow and the witch fire did make it further than the end of her arm before it dropped to the sand at the edge of the water.
