Turtle & Canary, Sunday
It was Dolf's first day at work! Well, technically, his second, after Shunsui had scarpered last week and left him in control of the counter for the time being.
So. Work. Exciting, sort of. Dolf had been poking through the stock a little that morning, trying to find food he recognised from home, and coming up with awfully little beyond one, abandoned pack of speculaas on one of the shelves. And it didn't even say 'speculaas'; it was called 'Dutch windmill cookies'.
He felt a little offended.
Which lasted all of five minutes, because Apu had just walked back into the store from the back, which meant Dolf's trajectory changed suddenly in his direction. "Apu!" he called. "Have you looked into those labour unions we talked about?"
Apu beamed at him.
Shunsui was going to hate Dolf.
Today's Squishy flavours: Speculaas, Orange, Blue.
