The Boards -- CASTING -- Saturday
There was rather less to be done today in preparation for the auditions, truly, which would be why after making certain that everything was set up exactly the way he wanted, Genesis had flung himself down in a seat and was texting Angeal.
It gave him something to do while he waited to see who might show up. And it was always amusing to needle his old friend with taunts of a secret that he wasn't inclined to share just yet.
Casting for DOGS
Cast and crew needed! Free food and drink available!
He'd put the phone away when people began arriving, of course, but until then...
Well, why not?

Casting
Re: Casting
Oh, Genesis, you lucky thing.
Re: Casting
"Jack," Genesis said, wincing a bit at the volume. "How are you?"
Re: Casting
It wasn't, but telling someone that earlier in the week had scored him a free cupcake. He was going to milk it for a while.
Re: Casting
Oh Genesis, so dubious, and then--
"Why don't you sing a song," he suggested, almost cheerfully. "To celebrate that."
... That was one way to do an audition, Genesis.

"I... may I ask what exactly the play is about, before I audition?" she asked.
Re: Casting
And she'd come back.
Genesis wanted to smile just thinking of that.
"It's about a very important gathering for a number of dogs who are--different--than many other dogs," he said, with a glance at her.

Which left her feeling slightly perplexed as to why she was at the Boards.
And a perplexed Triela was a scowling Triela.
Which was to say: business as usual.
Re: Casting
And, yes, that was slightly malicious good humour in his voice.
"It's quite a surprise to see you."
Re: Casting
Ugh. Another reminder of why she didn't want to be here.
She should just walk away. That was the best plan, yes.
Triela just stood there, glaring.
Re: Casting
See, he knew what she was thinking.
"Have you come to audition?"

Re: Casting
Sure, she thought she'd performed well in Snow White, and Genesis had been kind enough to give her the costumes she'd asked for, but that didn't mean he'd forgiven her for the craziness of last semester.
"Dogs?" she asked, making her way to the stage. 'Confident' or not, her spirits weren't exactly high enough for her usual greeting. "I don't think I've heard of this one before. Is it another fairy tale?"
Re: Casting
He approved, at least, of the way she held herself while walking towards him.
Re: Casting
"Hello, Mr. Rhapsodos," she said, giving him a nod and a small smile. They were the best she could do right now. "I'm afraid my experience with theater is either Lord Shakespeare's works and Snow White. What's this play about then."
Beat.
"Besides dogs. I've guessed that part."
Re: Casting
"I am glad you have," he murmured, because if she hadn't, he'd have thought her quite dim indeed. "It's a musical that depicts a gathering of dogs at a meeting wherein they attempt to decide who will be allowed to ascend and be reborn as another dog, as that is an ability that only dogs of their calibre hold."

Crew-ing
Re: Crew-ing
That said, he was looking for something to do. With all that was prone to going on around this place, he needed something to throw himself into, almost bodily. And the Boards were... inviting, in their own special way.
Looking a little thoughtful, he cast a glance around for Genesis.
Re: Crew-ing
Oh look, it was his favourite person! Who sounded, well, somewhat pleased.
Certainly not displeased, at least.
Re: Crew-ing
Pleasantries first. And then he'd get into the meat and potatoes of the conversation.
... Which mostly boiled down to how there were no roles in the show for winged dogs, and spandex was something that he'd sworn never to put on, ever, because honestly... Mutants in tights? But he'd like to be put to use here regardless.
Re: Crew-ing
And no more than he deserved.
"Well enough," he replied lightly. "Busy, however, with the new production. There are always things to look after."
