Turtle & Canary; Saturday [ 01/29 ].
Any thoughts Jane might have had about adding a monkey to the menagerie at Turtle & Canary were quite stalled when she came into work and found that the cheese panda had company, in the form of a red cow.
"Er, Mr. Nahasapeemapetilon?" she asked, figuring he would know better than anyone why there seemed to be an extreme panda versus bovine battle in the dairy aisle.
Of course, Apu went on to explain to Jane that the cow represented a different kind of cheese, and had shown up to defend her own territory against the tyranny that was the panda's insistence on his brand of cheese.
"Well," Jane dared to venture, watching them warily. "A cow does make a bit more sense. I mean, as far as cheese mascots go..."
Apu, obviously, was much more fond of the cow himself.
"I'm afraid Mr. Kyōraku won't be so approving," Jane said in a worried tone, "though it should be most interesting to see them clash; they're not exactly natural enemies..."
She would be glued to that aisle during every free moment she had.
