Parents' Weekend Meet & Greet II, Town Park, Friday Afternoon

The nice thing about holding school events at the park was that when tents needed to be set up, they could be spread throughout the park. There were more tables of food and drinks over here, as well as more places to sit and mingle, in case the other post tables became crowded.

The registration table near the front had nametags for everyone, and a banner to welcome everyone to the first Parents' Weekend of 2011!

If asked, Stefan would blame Damon for his potentially tardy arrival to the event. But since there were still name tags and plenty of people mingling, he was betting on plenty of time to meet and greet.

Barbara had been pleased that the access to the park was so easy-- and even more so when she saw the crowds there. A quick glance at the table, and a tag that said Barbara Gordon was placed next to her collar.

Amanda Grayson said the nametag; and beneath it, in bold small letters: SPOCK'S MOM.

A third visit went so much smoothly than those previous.

Warren looked around at those gathered, an air of something hovering somewhere between curiosity and distaste making its way across his face. His son was somewhere around here, he'd been assured as much. The trick, of course, was in finding him, and making certain that he was alright.

He was only a little off-put by the need to put on a nametag. As was the Worthington way, it all seemed a little crammed on there by the time the Jr. had been added.

The big, big man with the bulging muscles, curly blond mullet, and lit cigarette had written "Brock" on his nametag, and was standing around and watching everyone.

There were a lot of weirdos in this crowd, and plenty of them looked dangerous.

...Now, where the hell was Hank?

To say Kuriko was excited would be such an understatement. She was in a different dimension! Surrounded by aliens! How did Momoko even find this place, let alone stay quite about it? No wonder her sister never came home!

There was totally going to be some bribery going on to keep all of this from mom and dad.

Kuriko's starry-eyed wandering finally got her to the registration booth where she was utterly surprised to see AKATSUTSUMI Kuriko on a name badge. So weird! She'd only just figured out how to get that portal company to get her here yesterday!

Nico was honestly thrilled no one was supposed to be visiting him this term since he was still getting over five minutes of his father's judgment last fall. Besides, as a bystander, Nico got to indulge in the finer aspects of Fandom events, like say the food.

Momoko was kind of hoping that Kaoru or Miyako would surprise her this weekend and show up, so she was actually out and about today. So far, there'd been no sign of her friends and she was a bit leery of extinguishing all hope by going to look over the nametags at the registration booth.

But at least the food was good!

Which was exactly where Kuriko had expected to find her!

"Onee-chan!" She called out cheerily, shifting her backpack as she approached. "/Hi! Guess who came to visit you at your fancy boarding school?/"

When Leda spotted Wiseguy and Sai in the crowd, you'd think they hadn't seen each other in years. Rather than just about a month.

There were delighted screams, running, and a lot of hugging.

After the moment of delirious glee, Wiseguy sobered somewhat. "Leda I come bearing news from Bordertown. And...I don't know that you're going to like it."

It was impossible to miss the big, yellow feathery head towering over everyone.

"Big Bird!" Robin called out happily. "Over here!"

Big Bird swiveled his head around to where he'd heard his friend. "Robin!"

When it came to who was going to be taking a day or two to visit Fandom to see how Alaric and Caroline were getting on, Damon would likely laugh and tell anyone who would listen that Stefan had drawn the short straw. Stefan, however, thought it was a great opportunity and he found himself a drink and a good place to people watch.

Nathan's good mood was barely hanging on at the moment and it was only due to still being stupidly hopeful that someone might show up to see him and having an amusing chat with some chick earlier.

He'd been wandering through the crowd, keeping an unlit cigarette between his lips because of that pesky oral fixation when he spotted a familiar name on a nametag that a bloke in front of him was wearing.

"I know that name!" Nathan exclaimed, pointing at the nametag. "You're the guy in the phone!"

Hey, the last time he'd seen that name, he'd been dicking around in Caroline's phone so he thought that reaction was perfectly warranted.

Caroline had already been disappointed once and was not letting it happen again, so there was a suspicious look on her face when she made her way over to 'Stefan,' wringing her hands to avoid attacking him. "Oh my God, please tell me you're you and I can make with the hugging because it's really not fair when people don't look like who they're supposed to be!"

Amanda was wandering around, looking for Spock, or his roommate, or any of his friends that she'd met before, food in hand. Also carrying a bag full of presents.

Having simply ignored the nametags, Maximus was going to stand off to the side and glare at all the humans. The disgusting, horrible little humans as they scurried about looking for their families.

When he was king, this would all be destroyed. Just because.

There was a Worthington surveying the crowd with a mildly concerned look on his face. This one wasn't winged, but he was on the lookout for somebody who was. Assuming, of course, that his son had decided to continue running around, flaunting his... condition, since he'd taken off through the window of the Worthington Labs facility on Alcatraz.

He did not seem terribly thrilled about the conditions of his being here, no.

Brock scanned the crowd restlessly. When his cigarette burned down, he dropped it in the grass and lit another.
