Friday Evening, Cafe Fina
Momoko and her gaggle of guests (being: her mother and father, her sister Kuriko, and her BFFs Miyako and Kaoru) all stepped from the portal and, after much explaining to her parents that, yes, they really were in another world, no matter how normal it looked, handwavily registered and dropped off their luggage at the hotel.
Momoko then decided to kill many birds with one stone and took them all to Cafe Fina for dinner.
Seeing the dancing dinnerware staff did indeed satisfy her parents a bit that they weren't in their world anymore, and the warm greetings and congratulations from the Cheesegrater and the others (in song - she totally loved this place ♥ ♥ ♥ ) totally helped soothed Momoko's nerves about the whole weekend.
Miyako thought the outfits the Spoons were wearing were absolutely adorable and wanted to know who designed them, and the food make Kaoru and Kuriko both stop grumbling about being dragged along on the trip at all.
For a while at least.
[sorry it's up so late; Cafe Fina is open; whether you want to talk to Momoko or her family is totally up to you :)]

Both the challenge and the fact that the girl wasn't some flimsy wanna-be weapons master.
"Oh, I will definitely make time." Her grin was quite possibly as close to evil as a hero should ever get.
Momoko sighed pulling what was left of her cake towards her. Disaster not averted, but delayed.

Then her very delayed manners came back to her, and she turned red, looking sheepishly at Momoko's parents. "Uh. I don't usually challenge all my friends' old friends to fights, but, Kaoru's cool with it, so... So! Did you guys fly here or take a portal?" Eeeeep.

The girl's grin faded and she sank in her seat, disgruntled. "Sorry! I got excited when she mentioned training."
"That sounds like you need more training, Matsubara-kun," Momoko's father chuckled, then turned to Dinah. "And we arrived through a portal! Can you get here by plane?"

She grinned over at Kaoru, relaxing a little. "I don't mind if she doesn't."

She didn't say which brother, Momoko noticed, but didn't comment. It would totally start Dinah off again.
Momoko was also distracted by a wail from her little sister. "Nee-chaaaaan? Why didn't you take me over the Causeway? That sounds totally cool! You're holding back!"
"Not really!" Momoko chuckled. "Most of the time if you cross it you end up in plain old Baltimore."
no subject
"And Baltimore's okay, but really, not all that different from any other big city," Dinah said guiltily. She grinned at Momoko. "Of course, you could visit the next time Momoko does..."

"Neee-chan?!"
"No way! I totally don't want to have to call mom and dad and tell them you got kidnapped by some stupid gas-crazy supervillain."
"I wouldn't get kidnapped! And if you're there, I'd totally be safe!"
