Luke's Diner, May 9 (Monday)
Last week's election results had been disheartening, at best, to say the least. The kitchen staff, in their own special way, were going to be asking Lacey questions about it all day, and Lacey, in her own special way, would be spending most of the day answering in far too much well-meaning but not entirely coherent detail.
In between questions and customers, she'd be contemplating writing notes to Fandom's other Canadian citizens, apologizing for Saskatchewan . . . and wondering if it was a good idea or a bad idea to include a postscript disclaiming that in her defense, she was from Toronto.
Being Lacey was fun sometimes.
Luke's is open, and blunderingly, earnestly civic-minded. North of the border, anyhow.
. . . how does that work when currently in Iceland? Don't answer that.
[OOC: Oh, I am so not awake enough for OCD. Also I blame
shagthis.]

Listing both ham and bacon. Two of her favorite meat products!
Which would be how Sam ended up at Luke's attempting to hug and snuggle the specials sign.
[ooc: it had to be done.]

"Uh . . . hi, there," she said with a slightly hysterical little giggle as she hurried over. "Is there something you, uh . . . need help with?"
Did the specials board have some kind of long-lost anthropomorphic twin? When had she gotten to the point where questions like that came to mind so easily?

Sam looked up at Lacey. "How much is the bacon?" she asked.

[OOC: Arrrrrrgh, sorry, work 'sploded!
. . . not literally.]

[ooc: haaaaaaate when that happens!]

Don't get too fancy there, Lacey.

"For free?"
no subject
"Well, a sample, at least."
Lacey was a little too concerned about inanimate objects, at least the ones connected to her job.

"Deal. I promise not to hug the sign any more."
no subject
Lacey might be projecting onto the sign a little. Shh.
"Okay then! I should have a fresh batch just about ready to go . . . do you want to get anything else, maybe? A drink, or . . . ?"

There wasn't a single KFC on the island, Stan had found. So, when he gave up and just checked out the closest place. So, after staring at the fruity little menu for a few minutes, he sighed. "Can I just get a normal burger?"

With airquotes around 'normal' and everything.
