The Smash Club (which will someday be the Devil's Nest): Saturday, 5/21

Even after a couple weeks on the island, Woody Boyd still wasn't sure how he'd ended up here when he was heading for Boston, but he sure wasn't going to knock it. The pay was good, there were no pigs in the club except for Friday nights when those 3 talking ones came in and sat around complaining about the price of straw, wood, and bricks, and everybody around here was just so goldarned friendly!

If maybe a little weird. City folks; what could you do?

"Call me Captain if you're going to insist on using a title, Woody." There might have been a bit of a snicker at his name. What? She took everything the dirty way, even that. "And you can get me whatever you're willing to offer."

Oh yeah, definitely suggestive as she was willing to find out if his ears would turn red when he blushed.

One of the drawbacks of Woody + innuendo was the fact that you'd need Woody + innuendo + at least 50 IQ points to make it work.

Isabela was starting to figure that one out, yes. So excuse her for a moment while she sighed and missed Bo. Not that it would get her anywhere further, and dammit, she was just going to have to go find Shunsui.

"Wine," she said with a wave of her hand. She'd tried the beer and was failing to be impressed.

Maybe corrupting the whole of Indiana would be fun! She'd have to look into that.

At least he was still sort of cute, if a little slow on the uptake apparently. "Thanks. I'd say you should get yourself something too, but somehow I think you'll be passed out after one drink."

"Oh, I'd never drink on the job!" Being Woody Boyd, he wasn't just saying that because Eric's hearing was very good. He meant it. Fervently.
