Luke's D-- wait, what? Oh, Cafe Luke's, Saturday Late Morning
Now that everything in her apartment had been neatly packed up into meticulously sorted, labeled boxes (except for those three boxes of miscellaneous stuff that were going to cause her angst, as anything that defied her obsessive-compulsive tendencies was wont to do) and hand-written, overly flowery goodbye notes had been left at the post office for all her employees, Lacey stopped by the diner to wrap up a few last things and found it --
Well.
The sign out front was already different, even. Talk about your quick turnover.
At least she could still get in, and she pushed the door open and called out, "Hello?"
[OOC: For the new proprietor first, but if anyone wants to bug Lacey before she goes, go for it -- SP may be a thing, since I'll be out at a show this evening.]

"I don't know how I ended up . . . somewhere. . . . Well of course it happened to Cafe Diem, it always happens to Cafe Diem! It's a miracle I'm still in business!"
He paused when he heard Lacey call out.
"Hang on, there's someone here."
He glanced out, decided Lacey probably wasn't a homicidal android from Section Five, and moved into the diner proper. "Hello?"

"Uh," Lacey said, taking a moment out of her quick visual assessment of the diner to blink at him, "hi? This isn't some new surprise makeover reality show, is it?"

The manners that she liked to pride herself on possessing (or flatter herself, whatever) finally broke through a little of the wtf the diner collided with another place confusion, and she blurted out quickly, "It's, uh -- nice to meet you, Vincent. Under unusual circumstances, granted, but that's Fandom for you, and are you sure Ty Pennington isn't hiding out around the corner with a camera crew?"

"No, Maryland," she replied. "Well. Normally. Right now we're off the coast of Atlantis sometime a million years ago."
Not helping with the being-sure-about-things, Lacey.

Lacey. Not helping.
She gave him a crooked little smile. "Um, welcome to Fandom?"
no subject
She really hadn't.
"Well, I suppose it'll be something to keep me busy until GD gets this whole thing sorted out."

Realizing (finally) how insane this probably all sounded, she waved a hand in a belated attempt to brush it all off. "Oh, you get used to it."
