Seifer didn't have a Friday class this session, so Groovy Tunes was open and ready for business before noon.

And hey, he might even talk to you, if you could pull him away from the book he was reading.

Okay, she'd been meaning to come down and pester Seifer at work, especially since he'd been kind enough to do the same to her the other day. But when she saw he was reading during his shift, Rinoa figured this was some kind of karma at work or something.

She crept in to the store as quietly as possible, wondering if she could get close enough to hide behind the stacks and toss ballpoint pens at his head.

Probably not. At least she could look amused whenever he managed to glance up.

Seifer would like to say his ninja senses alerted him to her presence, but really... he looked up just as he was setting the book aside to stretch and caught sight of Rinoa.

"Hey. You need something?"

"Oh, that's no fair!" Rinoa laughed, with a capricious stomp of her foot. "I was going to get closer and be all smug like you were on Tuesday, and you ruined it."

Yes. Damn him, for noticing her and thereby ruining her fun!

"Must be fate, you can't sneak up on me, ever." He didn't mean it, it was just fun to watch her pout.

"Well, and I'm just that damn good."

"You just think you're better than you are," she announced, loftily, while sticking out her tongue. Very maturely. "That means you'll get overconfident, and that's when I'll strike. I used to be a strategist, you know."

The worst one ever, but who was counting?

Yet another day of clearance sales and $10 off coupons. I may scream.
