Chuck was coming to grips with the fact that he had to go back to New York and take charge of his real job soon and in order to prepare for that he had to actually start looking at the e-mails Lily had been sending him all summer. So his shift at Caritas was spent in front of his laptop, trying not to let his eyes glaze over while he read business stuff.

"Ah, computers," Hook remarked as he sat down at the bar. "Such a strange and wonderful realm. And a haven for a whole new breed of pirates, I have gathered.

Something he'd been trying his hand at recently, in fact.

"Would someone be kind enough to get me some... red wine, I think?"

The combination of being in Fandom for years and spending his whole live in New York City meant that Chuck barely blinked at the pirate. "Do you have a preference or do you trust my judgment?"

"I'll try out your judgment, and then I might be able to answer that most questionable of questions," Hook said. "Meaning you may choose, but I do hope you choose wisely."

Chuck wasn't that threatened by a grown man dressed like a pirate but when he did get up and go over to the wine selection they had out he did pick a nice Merlot. Just to prove he had taste.

"Hope this meets your approval," Chuck said after he filled a glass and slid it over towards Hook. Not that he cared much about what a pirate thought. Pirate prejudice.

Hook reached out with his hand and took a sip from the glass.

"Excellent," he said, with an approving nod. "I always do find this place the most pleasurable of places to proverbially kick up my feet. But allow me to introduce myself. Captain James Hook, pleased to make your acquaintance, pleased to make your acquaintance."

"Chuck Bass," he said, giving Hook a nod. "Glad you like the place. Always nice to hear that as an owner."

"Ahhh, a fellow businessman," Hook said. "Very nice, very nice indeed. You run a tight ship, that's certain. Never had a bad night or a bad encounter with any of your staff."

"Really?" Chuck asked. "The guy here on Wednesdays seems like he'd be a pain in the ass."

"I cannot say that I've ever been here on a Wednesday," Hook said. "But with such a statement, I think I may avoid that day from this point on. Though it begs the question as to why you'd keep such a troublesome employee around."

At least you have a job, Chuck. At least you have a job.
