Groovy Tunes - Friday [August 28th]
Seifer was the boss now, which was still a bit strange, so he spent most of the morning figuring out just what the boss did around here. He felt like Alice had just gone a bit easy on him when telling him what to do, but it turned out she hadn't. Things were really as simple as she said.
Of course, that meant he had only one 'boss-type' job to do. So, while rock music played loudly throughout the store, Seifer stuck a help wanted sign in the window. Then he went to the back room to start breaking CDs.

She might buy one anyway.
"Hello?"
Someone was breaking shit in the back. That was pretty cool.

And then there was a voice he recognized.
He came from the back room and blinked. "When the hell did you get back? And where did you go?"
Hello doesn't exist for him, apparently.

She shifted her weight from one foot to the other. "I had a thing."

Because he had totally been using it as storage space.

Well.
"If by ... clean it off, you mean ... shove things into a pile on the floor."

There was an awkward pause before she managed to blurt out, "That's not a ... some kind of a weird slur? I mean he's gay. Or bi. Or something. He's banging some guy who's like twenty-one."
Congratulations, Seifer, on being ground zero for George's thought-vomit.

So the most unlikely and probably the worst thing for him to say was going to be said. "Is the guy at least cute?"
Really. Was the guy worth breaking up a family for?

"Seriously hot," she allowed. "Probably out of my dad's league, levels of hot. I really can't fault him there."
no subject
It was. That was the way the world worked, according to Seifer. "Or a chick. Either one. Maybe both."

"My mom is way too much of a control freak to get laid," she said. "Some of her circuits would fry and smoke would pour out of her ears."
Clearly, George had not seen Season 2 yet.no subject
"Okay then. So, you're back for the semester? Want a job?"
no subject
"... Seriously?" George asked. "I mean, I just came in here to bug you."
Well.
"Really?"

No one had mentioned to him that Ariel and Lindsey were gone as well. "So, that means you have the weekend, Tuesday or Thursday to choose from."
