MCA Lobby, Tuesday Afternoon

Hook had a plan.

He'd heard of this 'Pirate Bay' thing in Sweden. He'd heard that a group called The Piracy Bureau had disbanded not long ago.

It was time for Hook to go become king of the pirates again. Even if he had to go to Sweden.

So, it was somewhat comical when Hook put up a little 'For Sale' sign in the corner of one of the front windows of the apartment building. Hey, he'd listed it online, too. But he liked the little sign.

He stood back to admire his handiwork, and smirked. Ahhh, it would be good to be a proper pirate again.

Boy, was he in for a bit of a surprise.

[ooc: Open post, Hook's last public post, buyer already pre-arranged, woohoo!]

Zayne meant to get an early start out to Goodvalor's to check in on his newest employee and do some paperwork. Of course that didn't happen. Force forbid he ever show up somewhere on time. But his tardiness meant he was around to spot the tiny For Sale sign. "Huh," he said, mostly to himself. "I just moved in. I hope it wasn't anything to do with me."

It was only then that Zayne really realized he wasn't alone in the lobby. "Oh! Hi there."

"That's actually something of a relief," Zayne said. "Can I ask why you are selling this place, then? It seems like a pretty good piece of real estate."

"I can see that. Piracy in Fandom is mostly just on the radio," Zayne said. And in the bar. Probably mostly in the bar. "So you're pretty much selling the building to the first interested buyer?"

After spending enough time with Gryph, Zayne had a decent eye for real estate. The place was fairly packed with tenants to supply income, and the garage on the roof would be nice for playing around with his swoop bike. So you could probably count him as an interested - and impulsive - buyer.

"I think I am that kind of buyer," Zayne said. "And I can afford something reasonable for the building. Just no shifty pirate deals, okay?"

"Sounds good," Zayne said, starting to follow him. He was sure there would be a conversation with Gryph later where he'd get yelled at for dipping into the Cargryph funds for another building, but he knew this one would be a good deal.

...Which probably meant that something horrible would eventually happen to it, but that was what insurance was for.
