The Devil's Nest [evening]

Jack was behind the bar cleaning the glassware--he wasn't that big a believer in cleaniness but his boss terrified him--while Tiny stood at the other other end of the club and sent Tino increasingly bizarre limericks.

Everyone needed a hobby, all right?

Eric preferred Matchbox 20.

...no he didn't.

He was there though!

Yes. It was Labor day.

Technically mail shouldn't be delivered on this day.

K? Didn't give a crap about holidays.

"Mr. Northman," K said approaching the VIP section with a box under his arm. "I have a delivery for you. I will need to see some form of picture ID."

Eric pulled out his driver's license and held it out. "More dirt?"

"I cannot and will not divulge the contents of any package entrusted to the United States Postal Service, Mr. Northman," K said in a scolding tone as he verified the license and held out a clipboard. "Please sign here if you wish to see what is inside."

Yes. It was more dirt. Two packs of dirt actually. Along with a note that read:

"It's your turn, but sped-up time means I go more places and you get more presents. Aren't you lucky? -J"

Eric signed with his usual flourish and opened up the gift, then burst out laughing.

He had strange hobbies.
