Mystery Sign Theater 3000, Sunday

There was a holiday week coming up - traditionally not the busiest time on the island, and it had been quiet for Mitchell anyway. As a result, he'd made a quick detour past Wales to check in on Nina and George, just to... have something to do. It hadn't quite helped his feeling generally listless, though.

Now he was back, and picking films again. Some of the new ones just coming in at the box office were more interesting than they appeared, and so he'd scheduled one.

NOW SHOWING
Genuine Ferrum

Still, his heart wasn't quite in it. He spent most of his day (and the night) slumming around the manager's office, doing very little.

Also where Bo was. Eventually. With beer, since that seemed only fair.

Also with pants, but the pants were his, so fair didn't enter into it. "I hope you're not allergic to April-Fresh fabric softener scent."

"Well, just don't smell your pants too hard and you should be okay." Bo held out a bottle of Guinness while deciding far too late that, "There is no way to make that not sound wrong."

"Thanks for the loan." Bo found herself a seat that wasn't covered in paperwork or posters, and took a swig of her own beer. "How was your week? No turning into a girl or you'd have called me, right?"

"How are they doing down there?" Was that a sneaky way of saying 'How are you doing when it comes to things that drove George and Nina out of Bristol in the first place?' Maaaaybe.

"No sign of any of Kemp's people coming after them?"

She would NEVER OMG. That's what bubblegum-blowing seers are for.

"That's got to be a relief. It sounds like they're safe, at least, as long as they stay under the radar." Or as safe as werewolves who couldn't control their powers any better than Bo did could ever be. "Speaking of that, you missed one of my weirder weekends, and I didn't even change into anything this time."

"There was another succubus here. Older, but the same as me; zones people out with a kiss, eyes go blue when she's feeding, the whole nine yards."

"After she got over the part where she tried to suck my face off because I stopped her from doing the same thing to Tiny, yeah. I've got people out there somewhere. It's...amazing. And weird."

"When it takes twenty-eight years to finally meet one, you start to wonder," Bo said. "Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised; from the way Saskia tells it, they've got whole groups dedicated to making sure nobody human knows they exist."

Bo gave him a thoughtful nod, but leaned her chin on her beer for a moment and said, "Vampires are out where Eric and Jessica come from, though."
