So...turned out that when Jack turned the clock back, he'd also turned the clock off.

At least he thought he was on time to work?

He also thought it was Monday, so Jack was perhaps not the most reliable narrator.

The Devil's Nest was open. And confused.

Zayne walked into the bar after a long day involving no polls at all, voting or otherwise. He was a little confused, though. He swore Jack usually worked Mondays. That might start messing with the calendar in Zayne's head.

"Hey," he said as a greeting. "How are you tonight?" Zayne knew he might regret an open ended question like that, but he asked it anyway.

"Quite well, and thank you so much for asking," Jack said jovially. "And how are you tonight?"

"Pretty good, thank you," Zayne said. "You wouldn't happen to have any specials tonight, would you?"

He'd tried some to check. Tiny'd dared him.

"You actually have blue milk here?" Zayne asked. "I don't think I've ever even seen it in this galaxy."

"I'll take a glass."

All right, this place hadn't been quite what Susan had thought it was before going inside. But it seemed to fit a theme well enough, and she could appreciate that. She supposed she could stay for a little while.

However her scrutiny of the place meant she was also scrutinizing the bartender. Who appeared to be wearing more eyeliner than was strictly necessary.

"That's a greeting I never would have thought I would hear in a bar. Aren't you supposed to be gruff and ask what it'll be and listen to my problems?" She'd heard that was what people did.

After being pointed here (http://fandomtownies.livejournal.com/6135370.html?thread=236016714#t236016714), Susan felt she had to head over. But instead of actually saying hello, she settled for a slight headtilt and, "You're blonder than I would have expected."

"I haven't heard that in a while," Eric said, arching an eyebrow up. "May I help you?"

She shrugged. "Your bartender told me you were a vampire while telling me about job opportunities for the underage. I thought I'd check you out," she said simply.

She'd sort of decided that without the black hair and widow's peak and cape, he didn't exactly measure up to her personal vampiric expectations.

Susan frowned at him. "Do I look like a tourist?" she asked. "I've learned dwarfs aren't exactly the same as what I've come to known back home. For all I knew, that was true of vampires, too."

Or at least what she'd heard of them.
