Hank was in his Ratman costume today, in case the time-travelling robot assassin baby came for him. Not that the costume would actually help in any way, but he FELT cooler.

...And if the SquishyBot was looking a little down today, it might have been because she had been hoping the baby WOULD kill him.

Sov stopped by Turtle and Canary to buy some pens and a new notebook. They facepalmed quietly at their roomie in that silly costume.

"Busy day here, Hank?"

"No, it's been quiet around here," Hank answered cautiously. "A little too quiet."

"Boring?" Sov asked.

"No, not boring, ominous," Hank answered. "Professor Skyrunner sent a time-travelling robot assassin after me, so I have to be on my guard."

"Professor Skyrunner? A robot assassin?" This couldn't be true.

"Just make sure the robot assassin doesn't break into our room and kill me by accident," they joked.

Hank nodded. "It was disguised as the Ethics homework baby, but I know better. I'm too smart to fall for that one. No one pulls the wool over the eyes of the Hankenator!"

"So what did you do?" Sov felt they had to ask. "It couldn't just be homework?" They had seen and heard the droid babies after all.

"I was NICE to it!!!" Hank answered triumphantly. "Many years from now, when that robot baby grows up and travels back in time, he will still have fond memories of me, his father, loving and caring for him, and he won't be able to carry out the assassination. Score one for Team Venture!!!" He grinned. "But I'm gonna be wary just in case, because it's always good to have a backup plan."

Sov, you should know by now that Hank's logic was... different.

"Just because something's not alive doesn't mean it doesn't grow," Hank cautioned. "I mean, look at moss, for instance!!!"
