Jono had attempted to be productive, today. He'd made his way into town for a bit, checked outside the school gates for any more familiar names to show up. Allowed himself to breathe when he noticed that Emma had made it in safely. Exhaled like somebody had punched him in the gut when he noticed Dinah's name had gone up under the disappearances list.

Always that balance, wasn't there? Something good couldn't happen without something ten times proportionately worse sweeping in to laugh in your face.

He brought the cat down to the office with him for his shift today, along with a box of the files that he was going over for Rinoa. He'd alternate between beating his forehead against a computer monitor while he attempted to figure out the internet so that he could look into this, and actually getting something done sorting through Rinoa's paperwork. Even if it had nothing to do with the bigger problem at hand, at least it was some sort of progress that he could see.

The Boards were open, and Jono hadn't even bothered putting on music today.
