Turtle and Canary -- Friday

It was a productive day for Hope. Productive meaning she'd cleaned the place enough to get on Apu's nerves before settling behind the counter with a magazine.

Now she was sitting there, reading, feet up on the counter specifically because she knew it annoyed him.

What? It was an "annoy Apu" kind of day. She was in a good mood for the first time in positively days.

Today's Squishy flavors: Blue, Banana, Apple Pie.

Summer was in need of a few items for her apartment and not wanting to make a trek to the mainland and deal with holiday crowds (no thank you!), Turtle and Canary seemed the best option.

"You look quite comfortable," Summer remarked, smirking ever so slightly.

"Oh, good, that's 'cause I am," Hope said cheerfully, doing Summer the courtesy of at least dropping her feet down from the counter. "How can I help you?"

"I'm tempted to try the apple pie squishy," Summer admitted. "I've never had one before, so I wanted to know your thoughts on them." She was always up for trying something different but she was always willing to hear others' advice on said subjects.

"It's actually really good," Hope said. "I can totally hook you up with a free sample if you want."

And by free sample, she meant free squishy. Hush, she can afford it.

"It sounds it," Summer agreed. She loved apple pie in general, anything flavored like it had to be good. "Oh, thanks. That'd be great."

She could never pass up free samples.

Hope snagged a small cup, popped the lid on, and filled it. "Here you go," she said, passing it over. "Hope you enjoy."
