Caritas: Friday Night
Fortunately, Fandom had been remembered back into existence after the sun had gone down, or Jessica would've been fairly crispy. As it was, she was psyched that everything seemed to be back to normal back in Louisiana -- with the exception of Sookie still being missing.
Maybe she'd go back and look for her. She'd do a better job than Bill, who just seemed resigned to the fact that she was gone for good. At least Eric hadn't given up, which was reason 57 he'd be a better daddy vamp than Bill.

Re: Bar
One, it was a little late in the evening for ice cream. And two? He really, really needed a drink. And that was why he was leading Herc into Caritas tonight, his eyes down on the floor while he tried to gather his thoughts.
Re: Bar
Re: Bar
"I'm actually not all that choosy tonight," he admitted. "Something hard, I guess. You don't have to worry about making it cheap or anything. How are you tonight, Jessica?"
Re: Bar
Re: Bar
See, he needed Bobby and Tony around so that they could do hugely stupid things, now.
He'd make do with Jessica and Hercules.
Re: Bar
She poured a shot of the dark brown liquid and pushed it toward Warren. She was really curious to see his reaction once he drank it.
Re: Bar
"Well, bottoms-up, I guess?"
...
...
"Oh, god." Yeah. Warren was regretting knocking that one back right away. "You could run a car on that."
Re: Bar
And since she still had the bottle out, she offered, "Want another?"
Re: Bar
He put the shot glass down and nudged it her way.
... Nobody had ever accused Warren of having good taste, had they? Good taste and money weren't the same thing.
Re: Bar
Setting it aside, she looked him over. "So how come you're lookin' for the hard stuff tonight?" she said. "Something wrong?"
Re: Bar
It was the only logical explanation.
"It's been a really, really long..." He made a face. Day? Week? Month? Year? "... Long. Thing. It's like one thing after another, I guess."

Re: Bar
Well. Not off of his teachers.
Re: Bar
Hercules was still operating under the assumption that Warren was now a free agent, of course.
Re: Bar
"... I think I'd probably have to ask Karla for permission before that particular lesson," he noted, smiling a little bit. "Or else invite her along."
Knowing Karla? Probably more the latter than the former.
Re: Bar
Hercules pulled no punches.
Re: Bar
"She came to find me on Monday while I was packing," he explained. "We... maybe took until earlier today to actually talk it through, but that's not as long as it sounds, I swear. Time back home goes way more slowly than it does here."
Which was good. If his whole week had been like his past day had been, he would have totally just lost it.
Re: Bar
He wanted to get at the heart of matters.
Re: Bar
... Oh. Right.
"No," he admitted, after a moment. "I... tried to call my Dad once I got a replacement for my phone. And I couldn't get in touch with him. Like... anywhere. So I was going to... you know. Just... go back and find him. Easy."
Totally easy.
Re: Bar
He was pouting. Just a little. He downed a shot, just to get a different expression on his face.
