The Devil's Nest- Sunday

Susan had been more than a little social this weekend- for her, anyway- but at least coming in to work tonight felt a little more routine.

If it hadn't apparently been the night of endless Bon Jovi. Not that Susan knew who Bon Jovi was or that she cared, but after a while she found herself getting really tired of hearing about Tommy and Gina.

The Devil's Nest was open.

There was indeed an Eric! He'd discovered a new game and was now cursing poor little Om Nom in Swedish as he cut the rope and missed feeding the little monster his doughnut.

Stupid everything.

"I'm sure your phone understands everything you're saying," K said approaching the table, once again with a package under his arm.

"May I see some photo ID, Mr. Northman?"

Eric held out his driver's license and gave K a smile. "Good evening to you."

"Mmm-hmm," K said taking the license and once again studying the date of birth like it would somehow change and he'd be... well younger than K.

Which was not happening.

K handed over the clipboard to Eric. "I suppose it is. And once again it appears your girlfriend has sent you another package from an different time and place."

"She does that from time to time," Eric said with a chuckle, signing with a flourish.

"I'm sure there's some grand inside joke to all of this," K said as he took back the clipboard and placed the package in front of Eric. "However since it keeps me busy, I'll just do my job and not make any inquiries on the where's and why's."

Inside the package... was no dirt. Instead it was a tightly-sealed container of water with a note reading, "It's a water planet. Had to improvise. -J"

Eric held it up and laughed even harder. "It's probably better that way," he admitted.

I guess I'd be to blame. Sorry.

I call it Humphrey Dingleword. I suspect most people would agree that this is not a good name at the very least.
