After finally convincing Tora that she didn't need to come see him for the most awkward visit since the last one on Oa, Guy was at work. And making Tino deal with the zombies tonight, thanks.

He'd just cover the bar.

And by 'cover the bar', he meant 'drink something violently green in color. Midori did that to a drink.

Zayne walked into the bar, only to see his "former roommate" behind the bar. Awkward.

"Hey, Guy," Zayne said. "Your name is actually 'Guy,' right?"

"And your name is Zayne," Guy replied, finishing his drink now. Because it was as good a time as any.

"Yep. So you actually work here? And don't just, um, party?" Zayne asked.

"I work here," Guy assured him. "And I don't talk about America all the time. Can't say anything about the rest of our 'housemates', though."

"I know Jaina pretty well and she's not nearly as naive as she was last weekend," Zayne said. "And I promise I'm not quite as contrary or prone to kissing people I don't know as I was last weekend."

"I'd hope not." That would end badly. "So, protesting anything this week?"

"Not at the moment. Maybe after I have a drink and think about it, I'll come up with something," Zayne said.

"Just don't do it here and I'll buy you the drink." Sexy kinda, Zayne.

"You've got a deal," Zayne said. "I'll just have whatever's on tap."

Such a sophisticated drinker, Zayne.

It's what he did best.

Guy nodded, pouring him a beer of indeterminate origin. "No offense, but I think I like my real housemates better. Even if one does turn into a ball."

We was kind of like Wolverine in that way, only moreso.

"None taken. I was annoying," Zayne said. "But what do you mean about one turning into a ball?"

"Turns into a ball and rolls around the house." A beat. "Weirdest shit I've seen."

"Huh. First time I've heard about something like that," Zayne said. "It's nice to know that I can still be surprised by things people can do."

"Isn't it?" Guy asked, putting the beer down.

"Thanks," Zayne said. "And it is. I mean, you're in Fandom for a while and you get used to the normal things like people from other times and other people not realizing that interstellar travel is possible."

"And suddenly, bam. Some guy turns into a ball and rolls into his room."

"Or you find out that one of your tenants is a pony, living on the top floor," Zayne said. "The ball thing is still stranger, though."

"...you talking about the pink pony?"

"Probably. I've never actually met her, but I've put things together," Zayne said.

"Lemme guess, you missed the time we all turned into ponies like her." He was green. And pissed off.

"That must have happened before I came back to Fandom," Zayne said. "Lucky break there, I think."

"No hands for the bar." You couldn't even drink away the horror of being a pony.

"How did you use doors?" Zayne asked. "Or elevators?"

"...does this place even have elevators?"

"We do in MCA," Zayne said. "That might be it, though."

"Well, you could use your nose." Way to have a weird conversation, guys.

"I hope a pony's nose isn't too wide, or it might be tough to just press one button," Zayne noted.

"They were pretty small ponies."
