Pixie Dust [afternoon sorority meeting]
The girls had been handwavily notified to meet at Pixie Dust (with a handy map attachment included for anyone who might be too new to know where it was) for today's meeting. Because it would be bad to have a meeting and forget to tell people where.
"Hey, everyone! With Valentine's Day next week and the dance this weekend- and I hope you all stopped by the table and bought your tickets-" Annie was not above a shameless plug, no. "-and we thought we could spend today doing a little preparation."
Rilla nodded enthusiastically. Dress shopping was always fun! “Styles might have changed drastically from where or when you originally come from, but it never goes out of fashion to be tastefully dressed for a formal occasion.”
Which meant she’d be judging bare shoulders and a lot of knees showing, just FYI.
Right, don't dress like a strumpet. "So today we're going to spend time in the store, and if you need help you have plenty of support here," Annie went on. "Even if you're not planning on going to the dance and don't need to get anything, it's fun to just look around and try things on, right?"
“Right!” Rilla squealed. “And they have really good bargains in the back of the shop if your dollar doesn’t go quite as far as it did in 1914...”
Just to pull a year out of thin air.
