The Boards, Saturday, All Day
So there was some sort of picnic going on in the park. Jono knew that sort of picnic well, and he also knew that he felt horribly out of place at those bloody things. Too much opportunity for people to stare. He felt far more at ease right here in the Boards, making posters.
Now that there was new blood on the island, maybe there would be some sort of opportunity to run one of those jam sessions after all. Next weekend? Saturday afternoon? Open to anybody with a voice and a song, though obviously they'd want people with instruments as well.
He'd be out of town during the week. Lee wanted him back in New York for a training exercise with the New Warriors, and then maybe they could put their new equipment to practical use foiling bank robberies or something of the sort. But next weekend Saturday?
He was spending the day making posters. Possibly using copious amounts of glitter. If there was one thing Jean Grey had taught him during their time as students here together, it was to never underestimate the power of glitter in advertising.
[Open Boards are open to anyone who might want to wander in!]

Oh, hey! Look who else was avoiding the picnic!

"Glitter," Jono sighed. "Really. I'll be twinkling like one of those Dusk vampires for a bloody month, but I can't deny that it is terribly eye-catching."

"Shouldn't you use lights, then? I hear that's traditional for theaters."

He hadn't been particularly close to that Jean. But he'd had tremendous respect for her. And it seemed like more and more people that he'd respected before were disappearing. And not coming back.
"So I figured... might as well make posters the way I remember she did. If I did it my own way, I'd just be slapping marker on a piece of posterboard and calling it done."
