The Beach, Saturday Afternoon

After his usual run (maybe a little longer than normal) and usual amount of coffee (borderline caffeine overdoes levels), Tony came to a stop on the beach for some relaxation time. Well, something like that.

He flopped down on the sand, hands back to brace him in an upright position as he watched the waved roll in.

A guy could only spend so much time sublimating his rich, orphan angst working in the lab before he got this weird craving for that mysterious orb in the sky that illuminated the world. Whatever it was, it looked 'shopped.

[[Open like a beach!]]

Bobby made a face at him. "Of course you would." A beat. In which he was possibly actively considering this as a viable plan of action. Because that would end well. "And what do you mean, start thinking about the returns on your investments?"

"Uh, yeah?" Bobby said. Bobby, you did not get to lecture people on responsibility. "Or before you know it you've got subsidiaries using Stark money to fund projects you normally wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole."

Not that that had happened to anyone Bobby knew.

Multiple times.

"Lame," Bobby decided. "And you can't just- go to court or something, get them to hand things over early?"

"Well, you said his security is crap, right?" Bobby mused. "What about leaking some of his crazy-ass research to someone in the press?" In his experience, the press loved to sensationalize anything that might be considered a ~threat to humanity~, after all.

"...Oh." Bobby hummed, thinking on that. "Annnnd that's why I'm point-me-at-things-and-I'll-beat-them-up-while-delivering-humorous-quips guy. And occasionally can-you-look-over-these-accounts guy. But not really long-term-plan guy."

"Some days they're more or less indistinguishable," Bobby rolled his eyes. Especially when 'freaky, telepathic monsters' was actually a column on one's Excel table. Shut up.

"Spreadsheets are a danger to us all," Bobby intoned solemnly.

"Of course!" Bobby struck a dramatic pose. "Able to execute formulas with the click of a button!" A pause. "...Just don't ask me to code macros." He made other people do that part for him.

"Good," Bobby said with a nod. "This whole conversation is making me sound way nerdier than I actually am."

"Very manly," Bobby agreed. "I approve."

"Was this at the same time as the base-storming?" Bobby wondered, rapping his knuckles against Tony's. "Because now I'm picturing you in the whole..." he waved a hand vaguely, because squirrels, "getup, waving a chicken drumstick threateningly."
