Kenz had a red hat on tonight. It was a fashion choice, not a souvenir.

The zombies were still side-eyeing her.

"Inspired, huh?" Toby asked with a knowing grin as he spotted the specials list on his way over to the bar.

Kenzi shuddered, then grinned. "Tell me those things didn't get to you too."

"Definitely not my favourite, uh... lecture... in that class," Toby had to admit. "Glad it was just a simulation."

"Ditto! I swear, I should get hazard pay for TA'ing that class," Kenzi bitched, then leaned forward over the bar to grin at him. "But hopefully it'll be useful... or, well, not."

"Useful, huh?" Toby echoed. "Planning on messing around with... Fae stuff, or whatever?"

"Maaaaaybe," Kenzi said, biting her lip, eyes wide. Talking fast might keep her thoughts under cover. "It's interesting. And I, maybe, ran into some stuff... I mean, hey, look at Aphrodite! And Karla! Gotta be prepared, right?"

And Bo. LA LA LA Thinking in Russian now.

Toby just narrowed his eyes at her briefly before holding up his hands in mock-surrender. "Okay, okay, I get it, message received, I won't ask." he assured her.

Keniz looked regretful. "Other people's stuff... anyway. Maybe I'll get to tell you, sometimes. How's your day going?"

Toby shrugged. "Apart from the craziness of class today? Not a whole lot." He sighed. "I'm not exactly looking forward to... whatever the heck we'll be doing instead of cabins this year," he made a face.

"Oooooo," Kenzi said, tilting her head. "The close quarters?" Awwww.

"Yeah," he nodded. "I mean, I've done it before, at group homes and stuff, but it's never really been a good experience."

Kenzi bit her lip. "Will they let you go back to the room on Sixth, if you need it sometimes?"

"I don't see why not," Toby mused. "I mean, the experience is probably supposed to be... character-building, or something, not actual crazy-making."

"You sure?" Kenzi teased him lightly. "'Cause sometimes I'm not. Look at our teachers. Look at our choices."

Toby snickered. "You're saying you think they're out to get us?"

"Redcaps! Fake booze!" Kenzi reminded him. Then admitted, "Okay, not as good an example... still! Ponies! We were ponies for a weekend! And it was awesome!"

"I'm not sure how much of that was their doing, considering from what I heard on the radio, most of the teachers were affected as well," Toby mused.

"They put this school here," Kenzi pointed out, more arguing for arguing's sake now. "Do you ever wonder about that? I really do... still, they ought to let you get to the Sixth Floor when you need it. How long are we gonna be in the cabins, did you hear?"

"I hope so," Toby said. "And- I dunno. There's what, two weeks left of the term? Maybe we'll just be in there till the new kids get here."

"You can always come over to my cabin if you need a break," Kenzi proposed, grinning. Or something.

"Yeah?" he smirked. "You don't think your temporary roommates will have anything to say about that?"

"I'm sure we can come to some sort of agreement," Kenzi said, looking innocent. Kind of. "Free drinks. Movie passes. Coupons for 'Dite's... Or other methods."

For lounging. With longing.

The zombies aren't going back there if you scream.
