Abandoned Warehouse District, Tuesday Afternoon
Ben had not come back to the dorms last night. Nor had he answered any of Tony's calls or text messages. It was almost like he was in an entirely different country!
So, that would be why Tony was skulking around one of the warehouses, looking for any clues to where he could have been taken. Or, god help them, killed. He crouched down, looking at what looked to be an old anti-personnel mine. Well, that totally boded well for him.
In all his concentration to disarm it, he didn't notice that he was singing right away:
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds... oh lord yeah
...so, it was one of those days, was it?

He moved silently along the shadows, keeping an eye on Tony, keeping his tread light. Sure, he could leave, but... it might be possible to have a conversation with Tony-- or secure him another way.

Tony went still for a moment, straining his senses to make certain he was alone. This is what he got for not having any sort of super powers, you know.
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war, he muttered under his breath, finishing the job on the mine.

So of course she happened to run into Tony. Of course she did.
"Oh," she said, trying and failing to look nonchalant. "It's you."
Awwwwwwkward.
no subject
"Stephanie." Ignore the odd pitch to his voice when he said that, please.

An awkward, awkward while.

And it's been awhile
Since I've gone and fucked things up just like I always do
And it's been awhile
But all that shit seems to disappear when I'm with you . . .
She slapped a hand over her mouth and counted to three. "No, no, no, Stephanie Brown, don't you dare!"
Getting her head voice confused with her actual voice wasn't a consequence of the day. It was just a thing that always happened.

When there's nowhere else to run
Is there room for one more son
One more son
If you can hold on
If you can hold on... hold on
Tony rubbed his forehead.

And at the right opportunity aimed and dropped said satchel crashing right at Tony's feet.
"I think these security cameras belong to you," he called out in a deep voice.
no subject
"Not really," he said, relaxing his shoulders and altering his stance just enough in case this turned ugly. "But that's for the public service."

He then opened his mouth to lecture Tony about the rights of the individual to privacy and the use of surveillance in a totalitarian state.
But instead he sang:
And I always feel like...
Somebody's watching me!
And I have no privacy!
Whooooa-oh-oh!
I always feel like...
Somebody's watching me!
Tell me, is it just a dream?
He scowled under his mask. Damn it
Rockwellisland! He was trying to be menacing!"Don't put them back up," he warned. "Or the next time those cameras will be dropped on your head."
no subject
Looked like he'd get a chance to test the suit and bring someone in for detention.
"We wouldn't need those cameras if people just cooperated."

"Super speed?" Tony looked up at that, thinking it over. He'd never had to work around that. "Dodged your arrows then?"
