Warehouse District, Streets, Friday Afternoon
Sparks danced around Victor's fingers as he stalked the streets near the warehouses, looking for any signs of resistance activity.
It was fun, sometimes, to see who might be afraid of his powers.
He liked patrolling in general -- not only was it his duty to Umbridge, but it added to an internal database of all island activity that he suspected might come in handy some day. But today, with the extra mission from Topher ... well, today he felt like being out on the streets was a moral obligation.

For now, Billy was wandering around looking for anything that might be helpful tomorrow. He wasn't good at putting together weapons, and Tony was still convinced that helping the resistance wasn't a good idea, but maybe someone else would be able to make something out of scraps.

He was considering blasting a couple trees for the practice of it when he noticed a slight guy with dark hair poking around. Finally.
"Billy," he said in a flat voice that didn't match the attempted smile on his face. "Topher said you have something of his."

"Hey Victor," Billy said, attempting a smile himself. "Uh, he did? I think I gave him back everything I might have had after our breakup. Did I miss something?"

He tapped a finger at his chin. "Y'know, when you guys split up, you lost the right to borrow his toys."

He did not want to disappoint Topher with this news.

He stepped forward, let a few sparks dance around his fingertips as he lowered his voice.
"You sound like one of them, anyhow -- disarming somebody on our side. Have you gone rogue, Billy?"

For a moment, Billy thought about lying, but he knew how he sounded, and he knew he was probably screwed no matter what. "No, I haven't gone rogue," he said. "'Going' rogue would imply that I'd ever been a loyalist to begin with."

He brought up a hand slowly. "I should just knock you out and bring you in. Maybe somebody back at the school could get these crazy ideas out of your head."

"You might get lucky," he said. "They might shut you in detention instead of playing with your brain. Either way, it's not up to me"
And then he was going to bring his own crackling hand up and try to electrocute Billy, hoping he had enough control to get unconscious-but-not-dead. But if he overshot, well ... Billy had only asked for it.

for which there is a lack of icons, woe.Just because he'd been expecting something like this didn't make blacking out pleasant, and the last conscious thought he had was the hope that Topher would be all right in whatever happened tomorrow.

He hadn't even managed to get the taser back.
Anyhow, it was time to clean up his mess. He scooped up Billy and carried him off to where Loyalist police could decide what to do with him.
