Look, other businesses had been doing this 'marketing strategy' thing for ages, but The Boards liked to march to the beat of its own drum. If anybody needed Jonothon, he'd be sitting in the lobby, replacing the strings on that old acoustic guitar he'd dug up the other day.

Yakko ran up, read the sign, pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket, grabbed a marker from his other pocket, made a check mark, and taped it next to the sign before running off for no particular reason.

Congratulations, The Boards. You've been checked out.

Jonothon sat back and watched the whole endeavour in silence, one eyebrow slightly raised. Finally, once Yakko had run off, he stood to investigate what exactly the... strange puppy thing... had taped to his sign.

A check-ooooh.

He left it there as he went back to continue working on his guitar, shaking his head and grinning a little, in spite of himself.

He'd walked right into that one, really.
