Chilly Boulder- Monday late afternoon
Given who the chihuahua currently in her care was when he wasn't a chihuahua, there was no way in hell Jaye was leaving him alone in her apartment. It was a miracle he wasn't dead by Vader like a dozen times for the stuff he pulled, he wasn't getting left with her stuff unsupervised. So naturally, he was at Chilly Boulder with her.
While trying to talk them into giving her the raisin rum without the pesky raisins, the manager came over to complain about the dog in a food establishment, which was why Jaye'd spent a lot of time arguing that it wasn't really unsanitary unless Jamie was doing the scooping.
Believe it or not she won that one, and was now at a table, refusing to share. "I hear ice cream's bad for dogs," she explained.
[A day late but I still did it. Open!]

She wasn't even eating ice cream. Chilly Boulder was just a fun place to creep.
"You have a rat dog."

"Is this like the pony thing?"

Eh, whatever. Jaye wanted to not feed ice cream to a puppy version of a crazy teacher, that was her business.
"So, hey," she said, starting to wonder if maybe she should go get some ice cream now. Since everyone but the dog was having some, and all. "Way to fail with getting a getaway rickshaw."

"Now I'm wondering whether doing work would've been worse than detention."
Priorities.

She would judge you forever, Bobby. So would the lion.
No he wouldn't.no subject
Did ice corpses smell?
no subject
"All I wanted was some ice," she said with a shrug. "Without potential zombification, in which case then, yes, we would have needed the rickshaw."

If she'd asked, Jaye was going to have to be April's new hero.

"She" being Rory, not Juliet. Of course.
Juliet was momentarily distracted from her mission by Jaye, though. "Got a doggie," she observed thoughtfully, peering eagerly at Jaye.
"Did you? Or is that a friend?" Rory asked, tilting her head.

She truly meant that. Really.

She probably wouldn't cry now, but she would so run away.
no subject
Sorry, Jamie. Juliet pet dogs like she thought they couldn't feel through their fur. (So, it was really more like three year-old smacks.)

Jaye.

Rory.
no subject
No she wasn't.

"Good doggie," Juliet assured everyone, still patting Jamie vigorously.
no subject
Jaye felt this was an obvious question.

Jaye, don't compare the toddler to that movie.

Jaye, that's not... Sigh.

Generally.

There was a reason Jaye avoided children. She'd seen tantrums when faced with things the kids didn't want to do.

Juliet, who had momentarily looked ready to burst into tears, was instantly distracted. "Starberry? An' sprinkles!"
Rory, bribery is a different thing entirely.

JAYE. This is why you can't ever babysit.
no subject
Yeah, Rory should have thought that through before even starting that sentence.
no subject
Why are any of you people allowed to hang out together?
no subject
Helpful.
"'s it Christmas?" she asked, already starting to go to the shrieky-excited place, decibel-wise.
"Thank you," Rory said dryly.
no subject
Oh yeah. She went there.
no subject
"I wish I could bottle that," Rory noted, watching.
"Mommy, gotta make lists! Presents!"
At least no one could say Juliet wasn't her mother's daughter.
"I wonder what Auntie Jaye's getting you," Rory offered, glaring at Jaye. "I bet it's something awesome."
