Demon Marcus, Thursday
Okay, so maybe Callie didn't bother opening her store all that often. She'd been busy trying to encourage young teenagers to sin more. Plus, she had a couple of employees, ones that she might even recognize if she saw them face-to-face.
She should really get more of those. Minions could be so useful.
Demon Marcus was open for business, and its owner could be found investigating the new Christian Louboutin pumps that had come in. Why even run a store if you couldn't use it as your own personal closet?

Talk to Callie
Re: Talk to Callie
Although he hadn't really expected to see a demon lady.
Of course, he also had the attention span of a goldfish, so while he was freaked out by Callie's horns for about a second... "Are those the new Louboutins?"
He had two sisters who liked to talk shoes at him, okay.
Re: Talk to Callie
She held out a pair of black peep-toe pumps (http://eu.christianlouboutin.com/uk_en/fall-winter12-collection/yolanda-spikes-nappa.html) that were covered in spikes.
"They're not very sharp," she said, testing the spikes against her palm, "but I think I could still maim someone with them. If we start getting actual shoe weapons, I am going to be happy in ways that drunk guys only wish they could see."
Granted, a stiletto through the eye worked in a pinch, but that was a bug, not a design feature.
Re: Talk to Callie
While Karen and Jules could get pretty scary in an argument, that was –– that was a little more radical than what Jeremy was used to. He was not sure whether to take that as a joke or not.
So he just leaned back a bit, instinctively.
Re: Talk to Callie
Abruptly, Callie remembered how she knew him. That helped. Or at least gave her an interesting new direction for the conversation.
"You're ... Jeff, or something," she said. "Didn't you work here?"
Re: Talk to Callie
There hadn't been much difference, though.
Re: Talk to Callie
You know what was easier than seeking out and hiring new employees? Bullying people into taking the job.
Re: Talk to Callie
Oh, Jeremy, as if that's going to help.
Re: Talk to Callie
It could be worse. She could be busting out actual flames. See how nice she was being?
"Jeremy, we've been over this," she said darkly. "You can't quit without giving me two weeks' notice. It's not fair."
Re: Talk to Callie
"I –– I guess it's not? I'm sorry?"
Re: Talk to Callie
Jeremy wasn't going to have any more luck quitting then, either.
"In the meantime, I'm going to take these shoes and get out of here. Have a great shift and don't forget to lock up."
With the keys he didn't actually have, natch.
Re: Talk to Callie
Yeah, he wasn't even going to realize the thing about the keys before it was way too late. And then he was going to have a panic attack.
Mod Your Shopping
Re: Mod Your Shopping
And no, it was not because of the fact that there had been a shark-headed Doberman or two following them for a while now, because she hadn't noticed that yet. That was okay, it'd probably become apparent enough eventually.
"I don't even know where to start," she admitted with a little chuckle, taking a look around the store. "Jackets and coats, maybe? I don't really have a coat for the colder weather."
Re: Mod Your Shopping
She thought. She was hoping humans had the same concept of 'jackets and coats' that her people did.
Re: Mod Your Shopping
She headed towards the racks in question, and suppressed the urge to babble. "Coats seem kind of essential."
Re: Mod Your Shopping
... She might have been babbly, too. She had spent so much time these past few months interacting with people! And yet she still didn't know how to!
... so she was going to follow Karolina's example, pretty much. "And coats should protect us from that," she added. Yes: following the example.
Re: Mod Your Shopping
"That's kinda what coats are supposed to do." Okay, probably not the greatest example, but still. "Do you have a color preference? I haven't really ever been shopping with someone blue before..."
Re: Mod Your Shopping
Only that hers would not, in fact, be yellow.
Re: Mod Your Shopping
Re: Mod Your Shopping
She stuck her face into a rack full of coats.
Re: Mod Your Shopping
There was... possibly some random growling sounds coming from outside. Sort of quietly, but still.
Re: Mod Your Shopping
Then paused.
Then pulled her head out of the stacks. "You can fit in the store, right?"
Re: Mod Your Shopping
Of course there might have been a mirror right behind her back, right now, and she might not have realized.
