Thor had awoken this morning to discover that he possessed BREASTS.

Now. He was from Asgard, he knew that sometimes these things happened.

Except usually it was a fair bit more... voluntary.

Whatever was going on, he needed coffee to deal with it. ALL the coffee. That may have actually been the phrase he used when placing his order with the barista. All the coffee and at least a half-dozen pastries.

Because breasts.

"Coffee," Alec pleaded of a barista. "Please."

And then he flopped down onto a stool, because that was just what you did when the island gave you breasts. It was the rule.

"... Lady Sif?" the question mark was only there because halfway to greeting her with a gigantic bear hug, Thor had actually noticed something. Well, somethings. The first was that she was not wearing armor. The second was that she looked... younger... than she ought to.

"Um," Alec said, really, really appreciating the fact that that bear hug hadn't been fully carried out. Because he might have been squished to death. "No."

"Alec Lightwood. I'm in your class."

"Alec," Thor mused. "You are usually male."

"...I'm pretty sure you are as well?" Unless he was a very bad guesser. "Professor Odinson, right?"

"You may address me as Thor," Thor said, waving a hand dismissively. It wasn't like he had any sort of qualifications, here. "And indeed I am. Typically. I suppose this is yet another of Fandom's particular jests."

"It's... unpleasant," Alec complained, going to the counter to claim and pay for his coffee. "...Like most of what the island does, really, so why am I surprised?"

"But temporary, if what I have heard is correct!" Thor said in an attempt to be reassuring. "So I would not fret overmuch."

"I'd rather be a little more sure than that," Alec grumbled, but he figured it was probably a lost cause anyway. "Has this happened to you before?"

"It has not," Thor confirmed. "Mine brother, on the other hand... although that was really more of a personal choice." And also not in Fandom, so.

"Oh." Well then. "Um. Congratulations to him?" Or her, Alec wasn't really sure which way around it had gone. "That's... exciting."

Thor shrugged. "I do not always understand his whims, but he is my brother." HE JUST TRIED TO BE SUPPORTIVE.

"Brooooother," Loki whined. No, he hadn't any issues finding the only other Asgardian on island. Consider it his specialty.

"You look like a Valkyrie."

"If I must be a woman, at least I am a very fine specimen of one," Thor said smugly.

"Most unfair." Loki didn't even have eyebrows!

"Come come now!" Thor tried to be reassuring. "You are not... entirely unattractive." He assumed. This was his little brother we were talking about here, Thor had a hard time judging that sort of thing.

"Have some coffee," Thor offered. "It will make you feel better." Case in point: see how cheerful Thor was after his... sixth cup? Or was it seventh? At least he'd managed to refrain from smashing any mugs.
