Demon Marcus, Thursday
There were clothes, and there was a Jeremy. Just going around, surveying his kingdom. Or Callie's kingdom, but Callie wasn't here right now, so, while the Darling name might not have been plastered all over the building, he was still in charge here. So, he was walking around feeling calm and glad enough to be here. He wasn't sure his parents would be impressed with the name of the store, but he was still actually considering showing this place off to his mother once she came visiting.
Of course, while he was thinking about that, he lost track of where he was going, and walked straight into a display of some odd interdimensional footwear, and knocked the whole thing over.
"Oh crap."
Yeah, he'd be spending a good chunk of his shift getting that back together again so that it wouldn't affect his performance review.

"Did Mom tell you she was coming tomorrow?" she asked, sounding as if she wasn't quite sure how she felt about that.

"Yeah," he said, with a shrug. Sounding pretty neutral about it. "On the phone."

No pink pony problems this time around.

"Lots of places have pun names," she said. "She might believe that this was one of them before she believed Neiman's was stocking high heels in a size 18. Maybe you could say you didn't realize it was just a rip-off when you took the job?"

"I dunno, guess I could just not tell her I have a job, right? No one expects me to."

If he didn't admit it was called apathy club.
