So, somehow, Karla had managed to talk Priestly into loaning out his kitchen to anyone who wanted to help make food for tomorrow's Thanksgiving feast. She still wasn't sure how she'd managed that, considering Priestly's odd reluctance to trust her in the kitchen, but she wasn't going to look the gift chef in...the...uhh, oven?

Okay, that metaphor had gotten away from her a little. Whatever. They still had a kitchen to work with and an amazing freezer that had every ingredient imaginable AND a tram. Between that and Karla to oversee everything, there was no way that this Thanksgiving meal wouldn't turn out amazingly.

...Specifically since Priestly had tapped his cook to actually oversee the kitchen. And several members of StuCo had also planned to keep Karla from interfering too much.

Either way, there was plenty of cooking to do if anyone was interested in helping!

"I..." Yeul looked back at the recipes. "I do not think we have time to make them for tomorrow."

Rapunzel pouted slightly. "We could try, though..." she pointed out in a small voice.

"But then we would get no sleep and possibly miss having fun tomorrow," Yeul pointed out calmly, unmoved by the pout and the voice. "Besides, I have already promised Evan I would show up tomorrow. I cannot do anything that would have me miss that."

"Oh." Well, there was that. No breaking promises.

Rapunzel let out a sigh. "Does that mean we have to pick one?" And, by extension, exclude the others?

"We'll start with one," Yeul said, smiling slightly. "And if we have time, perhaps we can do a second."

"Well..." That sounded okay. It also sounded rather reasonable.

Rapunzel grinned. "Okay! So what do you want to start with?"

Yeul laughed. "Nothing too complicated! Have you any ideas?"

"Well..." Rapunzel lightly chewed at her lower lip as she thought about it. "I've baked lots of pies before, but I want to try something new..." She did love trying new things, after all!

"Something with meat, perhaps?" Yeul suggested. "Or a vegetable dish?"

"Both!" Rapunzel decided with a grin. After all, why choose if you didn't have to?

Why was she not surprised?

"Then you have to help look for a recipe," Yeul said, smiling. "It'll go faster with teh both of us."

Rapunzel nodded. "I can do that."

She turned her attention to the recipes. Well, part of her attention. Part of it was watching Yeul out of the corner of her eye with a grin.

Yeul was aware of the grin and while it was tempting to ignore it while searching for recipes, just to see how long it would take Rapunzel to do something other than grin, she didn't feel like it.

"You keep smiling at me."

"That," Rapunzel giggled softly, "is because you look like you're having fun."

She turned most of her attention back to the search, flipping through recipes and mostly focusing on pictures, trying to find something that looked perfect.
