Guy was most definitely an adult once again. One who wasn't looking forward to dealing with the amazingly mature fight he got into with Sarah.

So, he was at the bar. Trying to carefully herd very tiny, very annoying sheep out of his way. Ah, one of the many upsides to being a Green Lantern meant being able to shove them out of the way using just your imagination.

Of course Tino was left to his own devices.

Jack managed a smile, or at least a twitch of his mouth.

"I won't tell on you for being here if you don't tell on me." Not that he thought Eric actually cared that much, but anyhow. "Hi."

"I think the smell of the zombies is punishment enough," Derek replied dryly. Look at them, surviving a week of being teenagers again.

"If you were a zombie," Jack said, frowning over at the stage, "wouldn't you find something better to do than play in a band in a karaoke bar? I always wonder why they stay here."

Look at him, not talking about the week of being teenagers again.

"Never given it much thought." Because the dead should stay dead. Peter.

"It's something to consider," Jack told him, and leaned forward to sniff at a strange mixture of smells. "Wait, what have you been doing since Friday?"

There was powdered sugar mingled with Derek's scent, and Puppy Joe as usual, but there was also Stiles -- and a whiff of what he would almost swear was Bo.

Sometimes it was easier not to have supersenses.

Derek made a face at that, slumping back further. "I woke up with Bo," he muttered.

"But she wasn't -- oh." Jack almost said he hadn't seen Bo all week and she didn't much seem interested in teenagers before he remembered a dark-haired girl who'd been very concerned about the horrors of drinking.

She'd changed almost as much as Derek or Kaidan.

He skipped ahead past remarking on that. "Are things all right between the two of you?"

"Yeah, I think so." As much as they could be, all things considered. "Apparently she's lucky it was me and not a human."

Jack nodded. "She's been with a vampire for a while."

And someday Mitchell and Derek would meet and exchange extremely intense glances, right?

"What she has -- I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But it seems like she does all right."

Probably! It was a thing.

"She didn't know at that age." Derek couldn't imagine not being in control of your less than human abilities at any age.

"She'd never been with anyone, or it hadn't manifested yet?" Because that was an entirely appropriate question to ask.

"Both, I think." Hey, look at that. A less traumatizing V card punching for both of them.

"Lucky she chose you, then," Jack said. "I didn't get anywhere with anyone, not that I was trying much."

Because: THIRTEEN, and reasonably clueless.

"Emma called and told me how to find dirty photos on the phone. That was the most exciting thing in my week."

Derek snorted, watching the sheep attempt to gather their courage enough to approach them again. "How old were you anyway?"

Jack was going to try to glare the sheep back into submission.

"Thirteen, but I rounded up when people asked." Not that the man who started saying he was 'almost 21' months before his actual birthday had stopped doing that just yet. "I was confused. The time travel was harder than it was the first time I did it."

"You seemed to handle it pretty well, though."

Jack shrugged, decided to chance more honesty than he normally would have.

"I wasn't hungry and no one was hurting me, so I knew it could be a lot worse. Besides, I always liked figuring out new places and new people."

Derek glanced away for a moment. "Smarter than a lot of kids."

Oh, making terrible remarks about himself. It was a Derek thing.

Jack shook his head, drew a breath, did not break into "It's a Hard Knock Life."

"Only as smart as I had to be," he said gently. "You had a family who loved you. I didn't."

WELL MAYBE HE SHOULD HAVE.

"Yeah." And Derek had completely destroyed it by being easily lead by a pretty face. "I did."

Jack studied him for a moment. "I just made it worse, didn't I?"

Derek rubbed his forehead. "No. This place just messes everything up."

"Someday we'll manage to have a conversation not about the latest ways the island fucked us over," Jack promised, and rubbed his forehead as he remembered something from several days before.

"Oh -- could you please be less of an ass to Kaidan? I think he thinks you're going to knock me out and take my wallet."

"Why would I rob you?" Derek.

"Because that's what antisocial thugs like you do," Jack said, with sarcastic cheer. "Or, maybe not that precisely, but he felt the need to warn me off you."
