Sock Hop, Town Hall [Saturday night, December 8, 2012]

It's sock hop time, cats and kittens! Get out your poodles skirts and saddle shoes, your hair grease and leather jackets (or your camera phones and evil grins if you were still in living color) and get ready to jitterbug, mambo, and hand jive!

Town hall has been liberally be-streamered and there were all of the finest 1950s food (hand-prepared by those who felt compelled to do that this week): pigs in blankets, three dozen casseroles full of Campbell's soup, and an extremely elaborate make-you-own sundae bar. The baristas from the Perk have been brought over to serve up shakes, malteds, and egg creams, but please don't eat too much before you dance: you'll upset your tummy!

The tunes were cranked up--Paul Anka and Elvis were prominent, but Perry Como came on every time Anakin talked to the deejay--and it was Saturday night! Grab your best girl or guy and get ready to party!

Jessica was feeling a bit more like a genius scientist and less like a genius scienintist tonight. So why not celebrate with a party? So she put on her scarlet poodle skirt and put a big black bow in a ponytail before heading down for the dance.

So as it turned out, if you spent enough time drinking and sleeping, sometimes Fandom weirdness could completely pass you by. At least until you showed up to something that had sounded like a party at the time.

Of course Sia would be somewhere to show off her poodle skirt because it was hilarious! She kept kind of bopping along to the music, too, because it was catchy, and because this was probably the only time ever you would catch her doing it.

There he was, copiously hairgel and all, raising his eyebrow cooly at people he recognized.

Mae had her favorite poodle skirt on, and she'd pinned her hair up special for the occasion. She couldn't wait for a good, wholesome dance. Even if was going stag. At least her mother wouldn't know about that.

Kaidan sat over here, looking wholesome and fatherly and not at all like he was repressing the oddest urge to eat everything in the room. (He hadn't been eating his allotment of calories meant especially for biotics, and now his metabolism was going crazy. Whoops...)
