MCA Lobby, Friday

Well, Zayne had to be going soon. The Republic Navy was calling him back in and he couldn't exactly say no, not while he had an opportunity to change warfare in the minds of some people. But he still had a few days left before he had to go. Hopefully that would give him enough time to find someone to manage the building in his absence. Goodvalor's would be fine. The droids could handle that.

But for MCA, he had to put a sign up in the window: "MANAGER WANTED: INQUIRE WITHIN."

And then he settled in by the office and waited to see what would happen.

[OOC: Posted early so I have time to ping by myself, although the post can be open for slowplay. Zayne will be leaving in a few days when time allows, but I'll get at least one more Goodvalor's post in.]

The timing was almost spooky. Only a couple minutes after the sign went up, Coulson walked into the lobby with two coffees.

"Good morning. I'm interested in the manager position," he said. "Coffee?"

"Honestly, I heard a rumor there might be a position opening up here, so I was on my way independent of any signs," Coulson said. He put the coffee down on the counter and reached under his arm for a folder. "Phil Coulson. I've spent the past several months working at Wellspring Arms for Mayor Summers, including a week of directly managing it in an alternate reality. As you can see on my resume, I also have other management experience that I'm not at liberty to discuss, but I assure you that my references are better than gold."

"My current job is one day a week at a weapons store people avoid since it both has highly dangerous weapons and we tend not to sell any weapons," Coulson said. "I think working at an apartment where people don't need help because seemingly nothing's ever wrong is a good balance for that."

"You'll note that's listed on my resume, too," Coulson said. "I'll leave that and one of the coffees with you. Take some time and let me know what you think. Just know that I promise you that if you hire me, I'll take care of this building and its residents to the very best of my abilities."
