The Perk [Friday afternoon]

Sookie was overdue for a visit to the island, anyway, but yesterday she'd sent a text to people who, you know, she thought might want to know about her new jewelry and all. Granted, she'd been really vague -- generally they fell along the lines of 'i've got something to teeeeeeeeell yooooou and i'll be on the island tomooooooooorow if you can make it but she was pretty sure that caginess wasn't going to last too long.

Particularly considering how she'd ordered her coffee while using her left hand as much as she possibly could. So what if she was a rightie? She was learning to be ambidextrous. For the moment, while she read a book and waited for some of her non-vampiric friends to possibly swing by (Eric, naturally, was kind of going to be more of an evening thing), she kept her hand under the table. Not like, in a weird way. But it was a surprise, okay? A surprise. (To no one. Shh.)

[100000% open, naturally, though I'm sort of in and out all day due to this being my last day in Alabama before I head back north.]

"You're totally and completely insane," Emma informed her with a roll of her eyes. "But I'm in charge of the bachelorette party."

"That depends on the dress," Emma quipped, "--but consider this a tentative yes."

"If Karla, Kennedy, and I are the bridesmaids, you're going to have a Very Interesting Wedding," Emma replied cheerfully. "Although I'm sure Kennedy will be dashing in a tux."

"I'll be in the wedding," Emma promised, laughing. "Although I'm not very good with moral imperatives."
