The Beach; Saturday Late, Late, Late Night
Emily had done a pretty good work of socializing, if she could say so herself.
Now? Now she was a bit sick of people and how much smiling she had been forced to do. Emily Thorne was a nice, if a bit lively young woman. The sooner she got into the hang of things the better she was going to be able to deliver that role.
She had wandered away a while ago, exploring the island on her own and mostly out of boredom. She knew there had to be a beach, and therefore she had been thorough in her wanderings until she had run into it. It had been simple, considering she was in Fandom Island, after all.
Her shoes were soon kicked away, the same with the socks. Armed with a pair of jeans and a dark hoodie against the cold, Emily stuck her feet into the chilling cold water, the sudden change of temperature sending shivers down (up?) her spine. A welcomed feeling; she was alive. Only subsequent waves would numb her feet enough to make it bearable.
A meaningful metaphor, perhaps.
[ Totally open if anybody needs extremely late beach stuff. ]
